A Month of Self-Care:

The FREE 30-Day Challenge Every Teacher Needs

I will be the first to tell you—teaching is exhausting. It’s one of the most rewarding jobs out there, but it can also leave you feeling utterly and completely drained.

This  30-day teacher self-care challenge was created because you deserve to feel good, not just get through the day.

I know this struggle all too well. A few years ago, I actually quit teaching. It felt impossible to keep up with the demands of the job and still have a life outside of school. But after two years away, I missed it—a lot. I had worked so hard for my master’s degree, and teaching had always been my passion.

I just didn’t want to do it in a way that left me exhausted and miserable. So when I came back, I made a promise to myself: this time, I was going to put myself and my family first so I could actually enjoy the job I love.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or like you’re running on empty, I promise, it doesn’t have to be that way.

This 30-day teacher self-care challenge is all about small, doable steps that will help you feel more balanced, less stressed, and way more like yourself again. It’s time to start putting yourself first—without guilt!!

Self-Care Isn’t Selfish–It’s Necessary

If I could shout this from the rooftops, you better believe I would! Self-care isn’t selfish! Say it out loud to yourself. Let it sink in. Because if you’re anything like most teachers, you’ve been conditioned to believe that putting yourself first somehow makes you a bad educator.

Teaching is a profession built on giving—our time, our energy, our hearts. And while that’s beautiful, it can also be draining. We stay late, skip lunch, answer emails at night, and take on more than we should, all because we care so much. But what happens when there’s nothing left to give? When we’re running on empty, exhausted, and, if we’re being honest, a little resentful?

Here’s the hard truth: we can’t be the teachers our students deserve if we’re constantly running ourselves into the ground. Happy, well-rested teachers are better teachers. And that starts with making self-care a priority—not an afterthought.

That’s exactly why I created this 30-day teacher self-care challenge. It’s time to stop wearing burnout like a badge of honor and start taking care of ourselves the way we deserve.

I Was Burned Out, Too—Here’s What Changed

A few years ago, I hit a wall. Teaching had always been my dream, but the reality? It felt impossible to keep up with the demands of the job while still having a life outside of school. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and honestly, I didn’t even feel like myself anymore. So, I did something I never thought I would—I walked away.

For two years, I tried to convince myself that I was done with teaching. But deep down, I missed it. I had worked so hard for my master’s degree, and I knew I didn’t want to give up on the career I once loved. So, I made a choice: if I was going to come back, I was going to do it differently.

This time, I wouldn’t let teaching consume me. I wouldn’t skip meals, stay up late planning, say yes to things I didn’t have time for or let guilt keep me from enjoying my own life. I was going to put myself and my family first. And you know what? It made me a better teacher.

If any of this sounds familiar, I want you to know—you’re not alone. And more importantly, you don’t have to keep feeling this way. Small changes can lead to big shifts in how you feel every day and stop teacher burnout. It all starts with making yourself a priority.

So What Does a Month of Self-Care Look Like?

If the idea of adding one more thing to your already full plate makes you want to close this tab—stay with me. This isn’t another task or chore. The whole point of this challenge is to make self-care as a teacher feel easy, doable, and something you actually look forward to.

Over the next 30 days, you’ll try simple, intentional self-care activities that take just a few minutes but make a huge difference in how you feel. Some days, you’ll focus on quick wins—like taking five deep breaths before your students walk in or drinking your coffee while it’s still hot. Other days, you’ll try things that help you reconnect with yourself, like writing down one thing that went well or stepping outside for some fresh air.

This challenge isn’t about bubble baths and candles (though, hey, if that’s your thing, go for it!). It’s about real, practical teacher self-care—the kind that fits into your day without adding stress. Because taking care of yourself shouldn’t feel like another obligation. It should feel like relief.

By the end of these 30 days, you won’t just know you need to take better care of yourself—you’ll have actually done it, in ways that fit your life as a busy teacher. And the best part? You’ll start to notice how much better you feel—less stressed, more present, and maybe even excited to walk into your classroom each day.

So, are you ready to start putting yourself first—without guilt? YOU’VE GOT THIS. 💛

You Deserve This—And Your Students Will Benefit, Too

Teaching will always be demanding, but that doesn’t mean you have to run yourself into the ground to be a great teacher. When you take care of yourself, you show up as your best self—not just for your students, but for your family, your friends, and most importantly, for you.
